Crisis map

First moves when the tube is in and patient is worse.

  • Call for RT/backup help.
  • Confirm tube with waveform ETCO₂.
  • Disconnect from ventilator and bag with 100% oxygen if crashing.
  • Check DOPES: displacement, obstruction, pneumothorax/patient, equipment, stacked breaths.
  • Treat hypotension and oxygenation simultaneously.
