Alarms and waveforms

  • High pressure: biting, kink, secretions, bronchospasm, pneumothorax, low compliance.
  • Low volume/disconnect: leak, cuff, circuit, extubation.
  • Flow not returning to baseline suggests air trapping/auto-PEEP.
